Dianne  Bolletta

 Biography:
Dianne is Australian born of Italian immigrants. Born in 1963 she was soon after whisked back to her parent's homeland and spent her formative school years in the spiritual town of Assisi perched high on the Umbrian Hills of Italy.

A strong affiliation with Italy was established during this time. Living among the ruins of an ancient civilisation where architecture, medieval and renaissance art, and a strong religious background most likely influenced her desire for creativity.

Bunny hopping across the hemispheres has enriched her appreciation of different cultures and developed in her a strong sense of belonging where-ever she puts down roots and, although not her homeland, she feels a strong connection with her adopted country.

A self-taught artist, she draws heavily on the New Zealand landscape with particular interest in the Central Plateau of the North Island. She also enjoys experimenting with mixed media.

Dianne has been painting part-time for 7 years.

Art, for Dianne, is an important journey of self-discovery which cannot be eroded by time or place.
